MONOLITHIC DOME
ARCHITECTURE

Architecture designed for places people travel to experience.

EIRA creates monolithic dome structures for retreat destinations, boutique hospitality, wellness environments, and extraordinary private sanctuaries.

Beyond Accommodation

The architecture becomes part of the experience.

The most memorable hospitality environments do more than provide somewhere to stay. They create a sense of arrival, separation, discovery and belonging to place.

Monolithic dome architecture allows EIRA to begin with the structure itself and continue outward—bringing architecture, landscape, sensory experience, wellness ritual and atmosphere into one cohesive sanctuary.

Rather than treating wellness as an amenity added after the building has been designed, the restorative experience can become part of the architecture from the beginning.

From Concept to Structure

A design perspective grounded in the realities of building.

EIRA's approach to monolithic dome architecture is informed by hands-on construction experience. Understanding how these structures take form—from their geometry and reinforcement to the physical realities of the build—creates an important connection between architectural imagination and what can ultimately become real.

The EIRA Approach

We are not simply designing a dome.
We are designing what it feels like to stay there.

Architecture establishes the shelter. The sanctuary emerges through everything surrounding it—light, materiality, landscape, privacy, thermal ritual, fire, water, transitions and the relationship between interior and nature.

Rooted in Place

One architectural language. Infinite expressions.

An EIRA Dome Sanctuary is not a standardized object placed into different landscapes. Each concept responds to the character, climate and emotional atmosphere of its site.

In the Mediterranean, mineral surfaces, sunlight, water and sheltered gardens create a sensual relationship with the landscape.

In the woodland, the architecture becomes quieter—nestled among trees, stone and shadow, where privacy and immersion in nature become part of the restorative experience.

Coastal, desert, mountain and tropical environments can each inspire their own interpretation while retaining the underlying EIRA philosophy of restorative living.

From Sanctuary to Destination

One guest sanctuary can become an entire hospitality experience.

Individual dome suites can be sensitively distributed throughout a landscape, giving every guest a sense of privacy and retreat while forming part of a larger destination.

The Guest Sanctuary

More than a room. A private restorative environment.

Within a hospitality setting, each dome can become its own private sanctuary—allowing restorative rituals to happen directly within the guest experience rather than requiring every wellness moment to take place within a centralized spa.

The relationship between the interior, private garden and outdoor wellness spaces is choreographed so that the guest naturally moves between rest, warmth, water, fire and nature.

The Interior Sanctuary

Boutique hospitality architecture designed to feel deeply personal.

Inside, the dome becomes an intimate architectural envelope. Sculptural forms, natural materials, warm light, considered furnishings and expansive views create a space that feels closer to a private residence than a conventional hotel room.

The Sanctuary Journey

Designed as an experience, not a collection of amenities.

01

Arrival

Landscape, pathway and architecture begin the transition away from the pace of everyday life.

02

Preparation

Privacy, bathing and sensory transition allow the guest to begin slowing down.

03

Restoration

Heat, water, nature and stillness support moments of physical and emotional restoration.

04

Connection

Fire, landscape and carefully designed gathering spaces invite connection—to another person, to place or to oneself.

05

Reflection

Interior comfort and quiet spaces allow the experience to settle rather than abruptly end.
